Published in QLD Brides Magazine - woohoo! I flew up to Cairns for Hannah and Vinnie’s tropical Queensland wedding at the Shangri-La Hotel. These two are the definition of laid back, loved up legends, so needless to say I had a wonderful time. Four beautiful Little Ones and a giant bridal party of 14 were just a few of the ingredients that made this day as fun and special as it was. Be sure to have a look through the photos from this day if you want to get carried away to the tropical shores of Cairns.
Read MoreWhat rain? Nothing phases this beautiful family of three. We had a weather forecast of scattered thunderstorms ahead of our engagement shoot out at Samford, but decided to go for it regardless. We were rewarded with a gorgeous moody sky and an extra charming session with Mich, Charles and their Australian Shepherd baby Frankie. I had spent the previous evening making some blush pink florals for Mich’s hat and for Frankie. They decided to use my wreath for Frankie at their wedding when she will be the ring bearer - so looking forward for all of that to go down this June.

This all-vegan wedding featured some of Brisbane’s best wedding vendors, hand-picked by Row who is a talented wedding singer, registered marriage celebrant and photo booth owner. It felt like a luxurious night out with friends for us and the newlyweds even shouted us to spend the night at W Hotel, so that we could party on into the night with them. Cheers to Row & Leo!

We would also like to proudly announce that Emporium South Bank has chosen us as their preferred Wedding Photographers for 2023/24.
Being a multi award-winning 5-star luxury hotel, Emporium South Bank is always an absolute joy for us to work at, with a team of Professionals that has a similar work ethic and attention to detail as we do. It’s a perfect match and we are excited to make it official now.

Their photography is perfection. They worked with me to sort out a vision and theme for my engagement photoshoot and produced something beyond my wildest imaginations. They instantly made myself and my fiancé feel so comfortable. Everything felt natural and it was such a beautiful and romantic moment and the photos they captured really show that. Their style is so artistic and unique I truly haven't seen anything like it. I knew that any photos they took would be reflective of our relationship and be rare. They really are works of art.”
Stormy skies and the mountains. When in Meteorological doubt, we always decide to make a run for it, and we’re so glad we did for Ai-Vi & Matt’s beautiful engagement photos. Their photos turned out quite painterly, romantic and intimate and we used a fine art editing technique to bring exactly that mood to the forefront. This shoot got under my skin and kept me up at night for its beauty and its portrait of two sweet souls in love. We hope you can feel it all with us.
Read MoreIt is no secret that we are completely smitten with every single product we’re offering. They are all made by artisans in Italy. This post is an overview of our offerings, based on 10 years of experience as Photographers, Producers and Designers. Our products are available to the public, all we need is an online gallery with high-res photos.
Many years ago, we went on a hunt for the perfect album. We ordered albums from every reputable album company around the world, tried everyone’s cover materials, paper options, laminations, glosses, foils and more. We then visited our top candidates around the world to inspect their production sites, meet the makers and understand the history and motivation behind the products and the people who create them.
One year ago, Bloom Australia opened its doors in Brisbane’s Newstead, bringing a new form of bridal fashion into the city. Bloom’s owner, Sam, moved to Brisbane from New York and is offering exclusive dresses, separates and accessories to Brisbane brides - a lot of them from designers that Brisbane-based shoppers previously had to chase via Sydney or Canberra or internationally. All gowns that you find at Bloom are hand-made in ateliers, by designers who celebrate #slowfashion and care about the environment in their procedures. At Bloom, Sam’s motto is that bridal rules are meant to be broken. To welcome Bloom in Brisbane, Lovelenscapes did a little shoot earlier this year - enjoy browsing through some highlights and looks in this journal post.
Read MoreHow good are winter weddings with their crystal clear skies, red leafs and dreamy light. Michelle and Charlie got married at one of our favourite venues, Preston Peak Wines in Toowoomba, in a heartfelt ceremony that included gifting a rose to the mother of the bride and mother of the groom, as well as a session of scissors, paper, rock between the bride and groom. I knew from our engagement session together that this entire wedding would be a vibe and a half because Mich & Charlie are always up to something and you mostly find them giggling and teasing each other. Check out their bridal party photos to see what I mean - I dare you not to smile looking at them. Over the 8 hours of my solo photography coverage {they had booked our Emerald Package with 1 Photographer}, we saw the temperatures swing from a sunny 25 degrees in the morning to a chilly 5 degrees at night. The team at Preston Peak kept us all entertained and warm with their fireplace in the Swarovski chandelier room and a bonfire outside.
Read MoreMarina Machado re-defined our entire concept of what cakes can be. This Brazilian firecracker has completely cured us of our cheese-over-cake snobbery. She bakes, she cooks, she sculpts, has a serious chef-background and pays proper homage to her Brazilian heritage with the best dance moves in her kitchen in Mount Tamborine. This woman is unafraid to look at the world, people and places in depth, incessantly chasing inspiration and truth. Her cakes have depth and stories weaved into their many layers. They are pure art and it blows our minds that she makes her works of art available to freshly married couples to add to their wedding day.
Read MoreIt’s as majestic and picturesque as Mount Coolum, but nowhere near as tough to climb. Needless to say Emu Mountain is an absolute gem for engagement sessions if you love mountains, perfect sunset views and a hint of ocean in the background. It’s wild and beautiful up there and it only takes 10 minutes to walk up. Nisa did it in heels. It’s easy.
We shot and produced one of our Signature Portrait Sessions for Nisa & Kevin, which meant they got the digital images, plus our Italian-made magazines and more in the mail to enjoy over the years.
We will let the photos speak for themselves. Congratulations, Nisa & Kevin. We can’t wait for your wedding later this year.

This story of Sarah & Ersan’s dreamy Bunya Mountain Elopement is brought to you by our love Ann Taylor from Ceremona Weddings. Fearless and ever-inspired, Ann performed a completely unscripted wedding ceremony in the mountains. Read on to learn more about Sarah & Ersan’s day, to marvel at majestic Bunya Pines under a peachy sunset sky and to catch a glimpse of Sarah’s original 60ies Gunne Sax vintage wedding dress.
Read MoreMaddie & Alex met many years ago, working behind the Whiskey Bar at The Regatta Hotel before pursuing their current careers as a Paramedic and Nurse {what a match!}. I looked up the colours of the place before the shoot, noticed the chocolate browns and asked Maddie about golden, sparkly outfit options. Turns out Alex had already gifted her the perfect golden dress for this shoot. Done. The End. Two emails into this and the entire thing was organised.
Maddie had a glass of Moët waiting for me. Alex swung around the ladder to find a whiskey for Doruk. We had to get with the program.
Read MoreJust like you sometimes wait to name your baby until you see it after birth, we waited to process and edit this Editorial before trying to make sense of it all. And more often than not, it’s the tiniest details that pull your heartstrings so tight, you just have to draw attention to them. In this case, with everything that was going on, it was that tiny halved apricot amongst our tablescape at The Black Brisbane that killed me and became the team’s favourite thing. Rachel from Society Lane who did our styling halved that little apricot, twisted its seed around to make it more visible and placed it in the perfect spot on our table, which was already overflowing with beauty with Marina Machado on cakes and Haylee from Huckleberry Flowers on blooms.
Read MoreWhat are you looking forward to the most for your wedding day?
Cameron: Seeing Sarah walk down the aisle.
Sarah: I’m looking forward to embracing everything on the day. I’m grateful to have most of our loved ones with us despite the Covid-19 restrictions. Most of all I’m looking forward to exchanging vows.
Which Moments/Photos do you think you will treasure the most from your day?
Seeing each other at the ceremony, exchanging vows and being announced as husband and wife. Pictures of just the two of us and our immediate family.
Having known Mackenzie and Tim from our engagement session together and from our emails over the years, we always figured that this wedding would be extra wonderful, and it really was. Mackenzie’s Maid of Honour, Jaime, described the bride as a living, breathing, ever-smiling sunflower and that pretty much sums it up. Then there is Tim who is one of those people whose company just makes you feel happy. Mackenzie & Tim’s wedding at Hideaway Weddings in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland featured all the sunflowers, BIG grandparent love, a cracker ceremony by Erin Woodhall Celebrant and one of those endless golden sunsets that we all enjoyed near Mount Tibrogargan, glass of Veuve in hand.
Read MoreMoon and Venus were still up in the sky when we met with Mackenzie, Tim & furbaby Harper for our sunrise engagement photo session at Queens Beach in Redcliffe. Not all couples would be up to splashing around in the ocean at 13 degrees with their bare feet. We welcomed the day with a beautiful golden sunrise, smokebombs and florals that I made for Mackenzie, inspired by her auburn locks. We can’t wait for their wedding at The Hideaway at the Sunshine Coast in October. Enjoy looking through this little piece of sunrise magic. We’re up for shoots like these, always, always.
Read MoreYou know you love your couples when you can’t even look at each other without crying during getting ready time. Lizzie and Jasper got married last weekend surrounded by their favourite people. Wherever we turned at their venue, Somerset Sunset in Kilcoy, we were drenched in golden light and found ourselves in a peak Lovelenscapes scenery and light. Combine that with the completely unfiltered love radiating from Lizzie & Jasper, some sassy flower girls and some cute donkeys who nibbled on the bridal bouquet and you have yourself that kind of magical day that is impossible to think back to without tearing up a little. We dare you to stay cool whilst looking through these.
Read MoreOh, how we loved everything about Lisa + David’s wedding. I think we have never worked harder to research locations and do our homework for logistics than for this 14-hour Brisbane Wedding Day, which took us all over town. We thought we knew Brisbane after ten years here, but Architect Lisa’s brief to feature a diverse portfolio of Brisbane’s Architectural Gems in their wedding photos sure was a challenge we loved to take on. Their wedding was a sophisticated blend between their Vietnamese heritage and their vibrant and stylish personalities as a young Professional power couple.

Being an avid instagram user, Kim couldn’t help but notice the difference between what is possible nowadays compared to what was done for their Sydney wedding photos ten years ago.
So off we went into the Southern Highlands and Milton Park Country House Hotel & Spa to re-imagine it all.
